Korie Lucious, who was dismissed from Michigan State due to “conduct detrimental to the team,” has landed at Iowa State, according to the Cyclones. Former Spartan Chris Allen had already moved to Ames.
Korie Lucious Transfers To Iowa State After Michigan State Dismissal
“I really felt Coach Hoiberg and his connections made Iowa State the best place for me,” Lucious said in a statement. “It’s the best opportunity for me in continuing my playing career. I am really excited to be teammates with Chris Allen again. He is one of my closest friends. I know I won’t be able to play next year, but I can work hard every day in practice and make the team better. I can’t wait to get there.”
Lucious was averaging 6.5 points and 4.1 assists a game before Michigan State head coach Tom Izzo kicked him off the team in late January. He was also a key part of the Spartans’ tournament run last year.
