WCC Championship 2011, Gonzaga Vs. Saint Mary’s Score: Bulldogs Take 39-34 Lead Into Halftime
The Gaels have been without their second leading scorer Rob Jones for much of the first half as he had to sit with three personal fouls. Jones picked up two quick ones and then was tagged with a technical foul as well. Senior guard Mickey McConnell is leading Saint Mary’s with 11 points at halftime.
Gonzaga finished the half on a 5-0 run thanks in part to a zone defense that has slowed the Saint Mary’s pace and has made them have to become more deliberate when trying to score.
