Duke is seeking an interpretation from the NCAA to determine whether Mike Krzyzewski actually committed a violation when he talked to 2012 high school recruit Alex Poythress prior to an AAU tournament in Orlando. Contact of a recruiting prospect is not allowed by the NCAA while the prospect is playing in a tournament. Duke says that the phone call between Krzyzewski and Poythress occurred last Tuesday, the day before the start of the AAU Super Showcase. Poythress was still technically on the road with his squad, however, creating some murkiness as to whether or not he was “in” the tournament.
