Connecticut Freshman Ryan Boatright Forced To Sit Out Indefinitely
Boatright was suspended for six games at the start of the season by the NCAA for receiving improper benefits.
“This development arises from additional information provided by the NCAA that pertains to conditions and events that pre-date the University’s relationship with Boatright,” the statement said.
Since debuting on Nov. 26, Boatright has averaged 10.2 points and 3.5 assists. He scored a career-high 23 points against Arkansas in his second game.
Boatright will continue to practice with the team and may sit on the bench during games, but he will not be allowed to dress or see action while the NCAA is revieweing his situation.
