Baylor Vs. Kansas: Jayhawks Assert Big 12 Superiority, Bears’ Streak Ends

Kansas thumped Baylor at home on Monday night, and reminded the upstart Bears that there’s more than one great team in the Big 12.

Kansas’ 92-74 rout of Baylor at Phog Allen Fieldhouse on Monday night served notice that the Big 12 may still be decided by whether a team can beat the Jayhawks in Lawrence. The previously unbeaten Bears could not, and Rock Chalk Talk thinks that bodes well for Kansas’ conference title hopes.

The win means Kansas now sits on top of the Big 12 and the league title once again runs through Lawrence. It's made that much more important because it comes against one of the primary contenders.

...

Probably the biggest takeaway is just the reality of what this team is capable when things are on point. They won't be that way every night, but as the development continues the ride sure is a fun one.

Meanwhile, Our Daily Bears is concerned about Baylor's offense, and a bit in awe of Thomas Robinson, who had 27 points and 14 rebounds.

Baylor did not play well enough to win this game. This is in large part due to Kansas, who through Robinson and then others absolutely carved up Baylor's defense, prevented many fast breaks the other way and showed how far Baylor's half court offense is from being able to win them games.
