No. 18 Mississippi State vs. Ole Miss: Rebels Upset Bulldogs, 75-68

The Mississippi Rebels upset in-state rival Mississippi State on Wednesday night.

The Ole Miss Rebels pulled off one of several Top 25 upsets on Wednesday night by defeating the No. 18 Mississippi St. Bulldogs, 75-68. Reginald Buckner led the way for the Rebels with 19 points and 15 rebounds.

The Rebels hit on 50 percent of their shots, significantly better than the season average of 41.9. Three other starters each scored at least 12 points. Demarco Cox added seven points and seven rebounds from off the bench.

The Bulldogs were hurt by 23 personal fouls, allowing the Rebels to reach the line 30 times. The Bulldogs while hitting 75 percent of free throws only made it to the line 16 times. Arnett Moultrie scored 10 points and pulled down 12 boards. Renardo Sidney fell short of a double-double by scoring 17 points and grabbing nine rebounds.

Both teams fell to 2-2 in the SEC. Ole Miss visits Georgia while Mississippi State checks out Vanderbilt on the road.
