It was a day for Pat Summitt in Knoxville, with Tennessee coaches and players wearing t-shirts with “We Back Pat” on them to support the legendary Lady Vols coach during her battle with Alzheimer’s. And the result was likely familiar for Summitt, too: Tennessee downed Connecticut, 60-57, claiming another upset in Cuonzo Martin’s first year.
No. 13 Connecticut Vs. Tennessee: Vols Pull Upset On Rocky Top, 60-57
The Tennessee Volunteers claimed another pelt on Rocky Top, taking down UConn.

Freshman Jarnell Stokes led the Volunteers with 16 points and 12 rebounds, and played good defense on UConn bigs Andre Drummond and Alex Oriakhi, who combined for just 11 points on the day. Cameron Tatum added 14 points for the Vols.
Jeremy Lamb had 23 points to lead all scorers, but he and Shabazz Napier combined for 41 of UConn's 57 points on the day, and took 34 of the Huskies' 54 shots to get them.
It’s the second major upset of the year for Tennessee on Rocky Top: the Vols defeated SEC rival Florida in early January.
