Dundrecous Nelson Dimissed From Ole Miss Basketball Team
Mississippi Rebels basketball coach Andy Kennedy dismissed leading scorer Dundrecous Nelson and freshman Jamal Jones from the team for a violation of team rules on Thursday.

Nelson, who was known more his name than anything, was arrested late Tuesday night on charges of possessing drug paraphernalia.
At 1:24 a.m. early Wednesday morning, a police officer entered Nelson’s apartment and found marijuana. It was not the first time he had been in Nelson’s apartment and witnessed a similar scene, according to a report by the officer.
Nelson, a sophomore, was averaging 11.6 points a game, which led the team.
“It’s a shame, really,” Kennedy said. “It’s a shame. There’s a process that I don’t feel like is needed to get into, but you get to the point of no return. Obviously the most severe thing you can do is dismiss someone from your program and that’s where we are.”
Jones played in five games this season.
