Kentucky remained atop both men’s college basketball polls this week after soundly beating No. 7 Florida at home and taking care of Vanderbilt on the road. The Wildcats garnered 63 of 65 first-place votes in the Associated Press Poll and all 31 of the first-place votes in the ESPN/USA Today Coaches’ Poll.
NCAA Basketball Rankings: Kansas, Duke Shoot Up Polls After Big Wins
Kentucky remains the nearly unanimous No. 1 team in both polls.


The big movers over the week were Kansas and Duke. Kansas throttled No. 6 Baylor for the second time three weeks and now sits at No. 5 in the coaches’ poll and No. 4 in the AP. A week ago they were ranked 10th and 7th, respectively. Duke’s big win of the week was at then No. 5 North Carolina. The Blue Devils are now No. 5 in the AP and No. 4 in the coaches’ poll. Gonzaga and Notre Dame both re-entered the Top 25 rankings.
Ohio State fell to No. 6 in both polls after their loss to Michigan State. Murray State was the other big faller, as they went from No. 7 in coaches’ poll and No. 9 in the AP to 14th and 16th, respectively, after their loss to Tennessee State.
