The Miami Hurricanes have had their share of woes over the past few years, but it appears the latest NCAA investigation was, at the very least, short-lived.

The Associated Press via SI.com reports that Canes center Reggie Johnson has been reinstated by the NCAA as of Tuesday and is eligible to play in Miami’s game on Wednesday night.

Johnson was declared ineligible by the NCAA prior to Sunday's game against the Florida Gators. His rule infraction was regarding impermissible travel benefits that were accepted by members of his family.

The NCAA told Miami that Johnson “must repay the value of benefits that were unknowingly received from a member of the former coaching staff” and sit out one game. Johnson satisfied the second of those requirements by missing Miami’s win over then-No. 15 Florida State on Sunday night.

From start to finish, the investigation and resolution surrounding the incident took less than a week to sort out. The Hurricanes are certainly grateful for a speedy resolution and glad to have their center back to round out the season.
