The Princeton Tigers, Washington State Cougars and TCU Horned Frogs were the winners in the CBI's opening games on Tuesday, prevailing in the day's three Round of 16 games. The remaining five games from the round will be played on Wednesday. All three games were very high scoring, which is not terribly surprising. Playing an intense, defensive game in the CBI seems kind of rude.
CBI Bracket 2012: Princeton, Washington State, TCU Advance
Princeton downed the Evansville Aces 95-86, shooting a fantastic 60 percent from the field in the process. TCU, who had a solid season in a great Mountain West, beat UW-Milwaukee 83-73. Washington State had a rough Pac-12 season, but put in a good performance against San Fransisco, winning 89-75.
TCU awaits the winner of Wednesday’s Western Illinois-Oregon State game. Washington State will play the North Dakota State-Wyoming winner, while Princeton awaits the victor of Wofford-Pittsburgh.
