NIT Tournament 2012, Nevada vs. Bucknell: Wolf Pack Advance With 75-67 Victory

Former Duke forward Olek Czyz had a team-high 23-points, including 12 of his team’s first 18-points, to lead Nevada over Bucknell.

With the win, the Wolf Pack advance to the third-round of the NIT. Nevada advances to play the winner of Monday’s Illinois-Stanford game.

The Bison were down 13 at halftime, but turned it into a game, cutting Nevada’s lead to just three with less than a minute remaining, but missed a game-tying three pointer and subsequently turned the ball over to end the game.

Nevada’s Deonte Burton, the WAC Player of the Year, was limited offensively tonight, finishing with just 10 points.

Bucknell’s Mike Muscala led all scorers with 25, despite dealing with a number of double teams throughout the game.
