The San Francisco Dons have a date with WCC top seed Saint Mary's after downing the Loyola Marymount Lions in the quarterfinals of the West Coast Conference tournament. The first half was extremely tight, with Loyola Marymount taking a one-point lead into halftime, but the Lions went ice cold from behind the arc in the second half while San Francisco starting hitting their threes. That was ultimately the difference, and USF won 67-60.

Ashley Hamilton led LMU with 14 points on 6-12 shooting and Anthony Ireland had a solid game with 13 points, but his poor shot selection in the final minute prevented his team from coming back in the game.
Michael Williams was terrific for the Dons, leading all scorers with 19 points. Most of those came from three-point range as he shot 5-8 from behind the arc. As a team, USF shot 11-26 from behind the arc while LMU shot just 4-15, struggling considerably from distance in the second half.
