The 2012 CBI Tournament is down to its final four teams, and none of them were even really challenged in quarterfinal wins on Monday night.
CBI Bracket 2012: Butler, Pittsburgh, Washington State, Oregon State Breeze To Final Four
After a low-scoring first half — Butler held a 20-17 lead against Pennsylvania at halftime — the Bulldogs pulled away in the second half for a 63-53 win over the Quakers. And that was the narrowest margin of victory in the CBI on the night.
Pittsburgh got 15 points, 11 assists, and eight rebounds from Trayvon Woodall, and had four other players score in double figures in an 82-61 win over Princeton. Washington State held Wyoming to 21 points in the first half and just 20 in the second in a 61-41 walkover. And Oregon State blitzed TCU with 53 first-half points en route to a 101-81 final.
Butler and Pittsburgh will meet in the first CBI semifinal at 8 p.m. Eastern on Wednesday. Washington State and Oregon State play in the second CBI semifinal at 10 p.m. on Wednesday.
