Dave Rice is in the midst of building a basketball power at UNLV. Adding another highly touted recruit only helps more — Savon Goodman committed to UNLV on Friday, according to Ryan Greene of RunRebs.com.
UNLV Basketball Recruiting: Savon Goodman Commits To Rebels
UNLV added another big-time player to its stacked recruiting class on Friday with the commitment of Savon Goodman.

Goodman is a four-star prospect, according to Rivals, and an undersized power forward at 6’6” and 220 pounds. He will likely play more small forward at UNLV, adding to a stacked frontcourt that may be one of the nation’s best in 2012.
But he may more important for his place in the constellation of stars UNLV is putting together than for his own talents. The Rebels add Goodman to five-star and likely one-and-done forward Anthony Bennett and well-regarded guard Katin Reinhardt, and previously secured the commitment of UConn transfer Roscoe Smith.
With that recruiting class coming in and joining Mike Moser and the rest of a team that already looked like a top-20 squad, UNLV may be a national championship contender in 2012.
