Michigan State and Connecticut have agreed to terms for a game that will be played at an overseas military base on Nov. 9.
Michigan State And Connecticut To Square Off In Germany On Nov. 9
UConn and Michigan State have agreed to play each other in an unprecedented season-opener which would take place at Ramstein Air Base in Germany.

The proposed location for the game is Ramstein Air Base in Germany, the home of the U.S. Air Forces in Europe and also a North Atlantic Treaty Organization installation. The game must be approved by the U.S. Department of Defense before it can officially be scheduled.
The game would tip-off sometime after 10 p.m. locally in Germany in order for it to be seen in the early evening on the East Coast. ESPN would broadcast the game.
Three other college basketball games will be played on the decks of aircraft carriers or at naval docks on Nov. 9. Florida will face Georgetown in Jacksonville, Syracuse and San Diego State will square off in San Diego, and Ohio State and Marquette will play in Charleston, S.C.
Nov. 9 is the closest college basketball could get to Veteran’s Day without a full slate of college football or NFL games to compete with.
