Bowling Green’s All-Purpose Yardage Column Is About To Take A Hit

When is a starting cornerback's arrest an equally devastating blow for the offense and defense of a given team? In this case, Robert Lorenzi of Bowling Green?

After an argument in the parking lot at Ziggy Zoomba’s Sports Bar and Grill -- located at 300 E. Wooster St. -- Lorenzi reportedly threw a punch with his right fist, knocking another male to the ground and rendering the victim unconscious, according to police report.
Another male at the scene attempted to help Lorenzi leave through the Taco Bell parking lot; however, patrolman Jason Broshious apprehended Lorenzi and took him into custody.
Answer: When the offending player plays a vital role in providing statistical coverage for one of the country’s most woefully unproductive units:

Lorenzi is famous for leading the Falcons in APY vs. Buffalo merely on two touches (114 yards), both interception runbacks. The Falcons are currently ranked 120th nationally in rushing offense and 100th in total offense, so yes, we’d call this a problem. Quoth our MAC blogger: “No idea how they’re going to move the ball now.”
