Iowa took a quick lead against Penn State, going up 3-0 on a Michael Meyer FG after a nine-play drive to the PSU 3. The Hawkeyes seemed almost unstoppable early in the drive, and Ricky Stanzi was 4-for-4 for 52 yards. But a false-start penalty on second and goal slowed Iowa down, and it settled for the kick.
