In Progress: Iowa Cruising Past Penn State, 17-0, As We Approach Halftime

If any Penn State fans thought it was an insult to be scheduled as Iowa’s homecoming opponent — well, they can stop being offended right about now.

Iowa just scored its second touchdown of the half, with Adam Robinson carrying it 33 yards on five consecutive carries and Ricky Stanzi taking it the last yard, giving the Hawkeyes a 17-0 lead approaching halftime.

So far, Iowa has outgained Penn State 235-75 — and that’s a dramatic improvement from the first quarter. After all, the Nittany Lions didn’t get their first first down until early in the second quarter.
