Penn State is finally on the board after an interesting finale to the first half. Iowa picked a Robert Bolden pass, but got called for roughing Bolden on the same play, giving Penn State another chance.

Bolden then hit a 49-pass to Brett Brackett to put the Nittany Lions on the Iowa 2. Bolden spiked the ball while Penn State coaches tried to call timeout — the upshot being that Penn State had time for one more chance at the end zone. Well, at least before the delay-of-game penalty that pushed Penn State back to the Hawkeyes 7.
