Russell Wilson and NC State did what works best for them in the third quarter: they ran the ball and waited for the inevitable Florida State turnover, both of which worked like clockwork in getting two quick NC State scores to tie it in the third quarter.

Wilson’s legs did much of the work on the opening drive of the third, with Wilson capping the drive with a ten yard TD run to bring the Wolfpack to 21-14. Ponder fumbled on the second play of the ensuing Florida State drive, and Wilson scored on a similar-looking 20 yard run to tie the game.
Florida State managed a nice drive for a field goal in the early minutes of the fourth quarter, and we stand at 24-21 with seven minutes to go in the fourth.
