Following a Trojans fumble at the USC 45, apparently caused by Lane Kiffin’s attempt to change the play just before the snap, Oregon needed just one play to cash in. Darron Thomas hit Jeff Maehl on a great catch, and the Ducks now have a 22-17 lead.
