Alabama Vs. South Carolina: Gamecocks’ Sixth Sack Leads To Failed Fake Field Goal

Greg McElroy took a sack for the sixth time today on a third down, forcing Alabama to set up for a long field goal. Then the uncharacteristic happened: on a fake field goal, backup quarterback A.J. McCarron rolled out and found Ed Stinson with space, but Stinson couldn’t haul the pass in.

South Carolina still leads 28-21, and Stephen Garcia will have a chance to lead the Gamecocks on a clock-killing, lead-extending drive in moments. He could also try juggling the ball with his feet and head while making seal noises. You expect the unexpected with Garcia.
