Michigan’s season hasn’t gone quite as well as the Wolverines’ white-hot start might have forecast — stunningly, things get harder when you play teams from BCS conferences that aren’t the Big East — and Denard Robinson’s absurd pace has slowed to merely ridiculous. But Robinson, at least, is still making waves.
Denard Robinson Sets NCAA Record For Rushing By A Quarterback, Eclipses 1,500 Yards
↵The sophomore quarterback ran for 121 yards in a 48-28 loss against Wisconsin today, moving him to 1,528 yards on the season and breaking the FBS record for rushing yards by a quarterback, previously held by Air Force’s Beau Morgan, who ran for 1,494 yards in 1996. He’s also the first player in NCAA history to pass and run for 1,500 yards in a season, and the first FBS quarterback to eclipse 1,500 yards rushing.

Robinson still has two games left to play, but he's probably going to fall short of the NCAA record for rushing yards by a quarterback — Georgia Southern's Jason Foster holds it and the FCS record with 1,844 yards in 2007. Then again, for a player who has been on and off the field with all manner of nicks and bruises this fall, these feats are incredible.
