Buckle up for a sleepy second quarter in Iowa City. After two pretty passes from Terrelle Pryor to Dane Sanzenbacher totaling 42 yards, one ten-yard run from Daniel Herron, and some other stuff of little import, the Buckeyes' Devin Barclay kicks an 18-yard field goal. There are eleven and a half minutes remaining in the half, and this is about as exciting as it's going to get.
... or is it?
Well, almost. The Hawkeyes and Buckeyes trade three-and-outs, and Iowa mounts a nice drive that takes up five minutes and a good chunk of the field, but Michael Myer misses a 40-yard field goal and Ohio State takes over at their own 22.
For a few minutes, it looks like the Buckeyes might take a lead in to the locker room. DeVier Posey catches a 22-yard pass to move Ohio State into Iowa territory, but Pryor lets an ill-timed bomb fly and Micah Hyde makes a leaping interception in the endzone.
That'll be the end of the first half. Iowa leads Ohio State, 7-3.
