Sure, Arizona touchdowns can’t do much but raise hopes for an unrealistic and more or less impossible comeback at this point, but, hey, Arizona’s scored another touchdown!
Stanford Vs. Arizona: Wildcats Keep Scoring, Keeping Hope Alive
As with the last one, it was Arizona’s short passing attack that carved up the Cardinal, but the final play on the drive was a Keola Antolin carry that brought the Wildcats back within three touchdowns.
This is all too little and far too late at this point — Brent Musburger and Kirk Herbstreit are inventing trivia questions about where Tim Lincecum went to school (Washington) on the broadcast, so you know things are out of hand — but Antolin’s had a decent night, gaining 77 yards on 14 carries.
It’s little solace for an Arizona squad that has seem its dreams of a Pac-10 title and a possible Rose Bowl berth slip away on this night in Palo Alto.
