Giants, Vikings To Play Monday Night Thanks To Snow

The Giants and Vikings were scheduled to play a game that began at noon Central time tomorrow. Then Mother Nature intervened, with snow that stranded the Giants in Kansas City, jeopardizing the team's ability to get to the Twin Cities on Saturday, or even before the noon kickoff.
↵The NFL seems to have fixed that problem with a rare move. The Minneapolis Star-Tribune’s Judd Zulgad is hearing rumblings that the Giants and Vikings won’t play this weekend at all — but will play on Monday night.

That is, indeed, very useful for Brett Favre, whose consecutive starts streak has been reportedly threatened by a shoulder injury that has left the Vikings quarterback unable to throw passes in practice all week. It may also be the first time two Monday night games have been played on two different networks; it's unclear whether FOX, which would broadcast Giants-Vikings on Sunday, would retain rights to and broadcast the game on Monday.
