Bill Stewart Could Be Out At West Virginia After Bowl Game, According To Report
Despite finishing with a 9-3 record, West Virginia head coach Bill Stewart has been on shaky ground in recent weeks. Speculation has run rampant over whether or not the 58-year-old coach will return for a fourth season with the program. Despite going 28-11 in three seasons at WVU and leading the program to it’s sixth-straight season with at least nine wins, many feel Stewart just isn’t the guy to take the team to the next level.
Monday, rumors spread like wildfire that Stewart had been informed during a team meeting earlier in the day that the Champs Sports Bowl will be his final game as head coach. His replacement was apparently already selected, Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Dana Holgorsen.
