The Pittsburgh Post-Gazette’s Paul Zeise reports Miami (Ohio) head coach Michael Haywood will be hired to lead the Pittsburgh Panthers. SB Nation Pittsburgh previously fretted about rumblings of Haywood’s hire, due to … well, he comes from Miami (Ohio).

Haywood would be the second MAC coach to get the call-up to a BCS conference this week, after Temple Owls coach Al Golden was introduced as Miami Hurricanes head coach.
