Colorado AD Denies Offering Jon Embree Buffs HC Job

Well, that fell apart quickly: Colorado AD Mike Bohn has released a statement denying that the university extended an offer to former Buff Jon Embree to replace Dan Hawkins:

“The rumors that the University of Colorado has hired our next head football coach are untrue,” Bohn said in a statement released by the school Thursday. “In the interests of the young men in our program, and our fans and supporters, I want to make clear that the search committee has not yet completed its work, and we have not yet offered the job to any candidate. We are hopeful of making a head coach announcement in the coming days and beginning a new and exciting era of CU football.”
But ... but we already laid out all the reasons Embree would be a good fit for his alma mater at a point where they can’t afford to make a splash hire! And that mustache!
