Neatest fact: Nothing. This game has only been around since 2008. Unless you count the bizarro pan-everything menu of the title sponsor’s restaurants, in which case, enjoy your Nachos ‘O’ Brady, Corned Beef Wontons, and Signature Irish Limeade. (We only made one of those up.)
Closest finish: Last year’s 45-24 trouncing of Central Florida by Rutgers.
Most lopsided finish: The inaugural 41-14 beatdown of Memphis by South Florida. Man, Memphis in a bowl game. Those were the days, right?

On a less cheeky note, Golden Eagles Linebacker Martez Smith, paralyzed from the waist down since a November shooting outside a Hattiesburg nightclub, had hoped to attend the bowl game with his teammates, but was re-hospitalized Thursday in Mississippi for further surgery. Teammates Deddrick Jones and Tim Green, also victims in the shooting, were able to make the trip to St. Petersburg. Golden Eagles DE Cordarro Law will play wearing Smith's jersey tonight.
