That Utah Utes WR DeVonte' Christopher decided to refer to Boise State as "Girlse State" on Twitter in advance of the teams' Las Vegas Bowl matchup is kind of something, though Kellen Moore really should've retorted by calling Utah Ewww!-tah. And that Boise actually attempted to use the tweet as bulletin board material is probably something too, because who prints off a tweet and pins it to a bulletin board these days?

But Brent Musburger snapping off the words Girlse State, they a bunch of cheerleaders on the air, in his crackling hearth of a voice? Now that’s definitely something. ESPN went full-screen graphic with the tweet during a pregame package on the various tense moments that have arisen between these two mid-majors during a lively weekend in Vegas, and Musburger dutifully read along.

Demerits for the lack of attention paid to the lol at the end, though, Brent. Would it have been better to hear him say, “Laughing ... out loud,” or to have him shove out four or five seconds of laughter, really digging in and activating his abdominals to wrench out each grating, shellacking chuckle?
