College Football Rankings: Auburn No. 1, TCU Receives First Place Vote In USA Today Coaches’ Poll

The top of the final USA Today Coaches’ Poll of the year fell in line with the AP Poll on Tuesday, all the way down to the TCU Horned Frogs receiving one first place vote. The Auburn Tigers, winners of Monday night’s BCS Championship, claimed the top spot, with TCU right behind at No. 2. The team on the wrong side of Monday’s game, the Oregon Ducks, fell one spot to No. 3.

Stanford, with an easy win over Virginia Tech in the Orange Bowl, and Ohio State, winners of the Sugar Bowl, rounded out the top-5.

Boise State got some love in the Coaches’ Poll, sliding in at No. 7. The Broncos were ninth in the final AP Poll of the year, but jumped Wisconsin and LSU when it came time for the coaches to vote.
