2011 NFL Draft Prospects: Patrick Peterson Headlines Cotton Bowl

The Cotton Bowl features of the the finest prospects in the NCAA. Should he declare for the 2011 NFL Draft, LSU cornerback Patrick Peterson is likely to go early in the first round, perhaps in the top-five. Peterson finished the 2010 regular season with 36 tackles, four interceptions and two punt returns for touchdowns. The versatile player is highly sought after by NFL teams and is someone to keep an eye on in the Cotton Bowl.

Here’s a look at the rest of the prospects on display in the Cotton Bowl.

Von Miller, OLB at Texas A&M: Miller comes into the Cotton Bowl ranked as the No. 46 prospect by SB Nation's mocking the draft. He finished the regular season with 59 tackles, 9.5 sacks and an interceptions. The 6-foot-3 243 pound senior linebacker will play his final game at the Cotton Bowl before moving on to the NFL.

Jeff Fuller, WR at Texas A&M: Ranked as the No. 102 prospect, Fuller is currently a junior at A&M. In the Cotton Bowl, Fuller has a chance to eclipse the 1000 yard receiving mark after finishing the regular season with 65 catches for 983 yards and 12 touchdowns.

Drake Nevis, DT at LSU: The 6-foot-5, 285 pound senior defensive tackle is ranked at No. 58 in the latest top-200. Nevis finished the regular season with 56 tackles and six sacks.

Kelvin Sheppard, MLB at LSU: Ranked as the No. 101 prospect in the 2011 NFL Draft, Sheppard will also cap his college career at the Cotton Bowl. Sheppard had 106 tackles, four sacks, an interception and a fumble recovery in the 2010 regular season for the Tigers.
