The 2010 college football postseason is has two more games to go, with the appetizer to the BCS National Championship taking place on Sunday, Jan. 9 in San Francisco. The Boston College Eagles and Nevada Wolfpack hit the field at AT&T Park for the Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl and we’ve got all your odds and predictions needs covered.
Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl, No. 15 Nevada Vs. Boston College Odds: Wolfpack Heavily Favored
The line: Nevada by 7.5 points. The Wolfpack opened as 10.5-point favorites, but have seen the line shrink leading up to the bowl game.
Notable Nevada units: Clearly it’s the running game. In Chris Ault’s pistol, the attack comes in the form of runs, runs and more runs. Colin Kaepernick and Vai Taua both were over 1,000 yards in the regular season and combined for 39 touchdowns on the year. Expect to see plenty of them.
Notable Boston College units: The defense, specifically points allowed. The Eagles are well below average, or near-last, in most statistical categories, excluding points against. Boston College gives up 19.5 points per game, ranked No. 18 in the nation.
The pick: Nevada is just too good here. While Boston College did win its last five games, the Eagles faltered against high-quality competition. Nevada, on the other hand, has been bringing it, and should run all over BC. Take the Wolfpack to add another member to their list of victims with a win and a cover.
The 2011 Kraft Fight Hunger Bowl kicks off at 9 p.m. EST. The game will be televised on ESPN. Browse our 2010 college football postseason schedule for a complete list of bowls.
