Texas Vs. Iowa State Game Time, TV Schedule, Spread And More

Can the Texas Longhorns avenge their embarrassing 2010 28-21 loss at home to the Iowa Cyclones?

The Texas Longhorns look to avenge last season's 28-21 loss to the Iowa Cyclones this weekend. The Longhorns will travel up to Ames, Iowa as 9-point favorites and looking to continue to build on their 3-0 start to the season as well as pick up their second win in Big 12 play. Texas coach Mack Brown indicated that last year's loss, one of seven losses on the season, was the lowest point of the year.

The Longhorns enter the game 3-0, coming off a 49-20 win over the UCLA Bruins. Quarterback Case McCoy will make his second start of the season and look to build upon the solid two touchdown performance he had against the Bruins.

The Iowa State Cyclones are looking to also build on their 3-0 start after beating both in-state rival Iowa and the Connecticut Huskies in two consecutive out of conference games. Entering their first Big 12 matchup, Cyclones quarterback Steele Jantz looks to show that he's more than just guy with an awesome football name. Jantz is coming off a three interception game against the Huskies, but will be looking to rebound and lead the Cyclones over the Longhorns for the second consecutive time.

Game date / time: 7:00 pm ET, Saturday, September 24

Location: Jack Trice Stadium, Ames, Iowa

Spread: Texas favored by 9
