College Football Rankings Preview: Alabama, Wisconsin Notch Impressive Wins
The top-ranked teams in the AP and Coaches Polls took care of business on Saturday, handling their business convincingly along the way. The marquee matchups of the evening -- Alabama vs. Florida and Wisconsin vs. Nebraska -- weren’t close at all, with the Crimson Tide and Badgers each pounding a worthy foe to cap the night.
Will Alabama move up with a resume-building win? How far will Wisconsin rise with a big win over Nebraska? We’ll find all that out and more on Sunday morning as the newest polls are released.

Not sure why Utah was such a heavy favorite heading into a Saturday night matchup with the Washington Huskies, but the bookmakers were way off this week. Led by Keith Price, the Huskies pounded the Utes, knocking quarterback Jordan Wynn out of the game and chewing up the Utah offense en route to a 31-14 win.
Utah turned the ball over five times -- many of which occurred in the red zone -- and the Huskies took advantage. Wynn and backup quarterback Jon Hayes each threw an interception, while Price was nearly flawless on the other side of the field, recovering from an early interception to lead Washington to victory.

A whistle blew from another official as other Tide players encouraged the ball all the way down to the other end zone at a leisurely pace. The zebras gathered to announce Florida had called a time out before the play began, though there was no evidence of that. All right.
In more important news: Brantley was injured on the next play, apparently suffering a knee. He left the game, leaving true freshman Jeff Driskel as the only Gators option.

Immediately, Brantley clutched his right knee, staying down on the ground for quite some time before trainers picked him up to help him off the field. Brantley headed straight to the locker room -- halftime was only seconds away -- but was barely able to put weight on his right leg, eventually just holding it in the air while using the trainers as a crutch.

Auburn Vs. South Carolina: SEC Agrees With Officials’ Timing To End Game
Was South Carolina robbed of two seconds at the end of its matchup with Auburn? The Gamecocks appeared to pick-up a first down with two seconds to go, only to see the clock wind down to zero, ending the game. South Carolina protested, but the play was never reviewed as the Gamecocks fell to Auburn, 16-13.
