Alabama Vs. Florida Final Score: Nick Saban Beats Protege Will Muschamp, 38-10

With a 38-10 win in the Swamp, the Alabama Crimson Tide treated the Florida Gators just as they did last week's really talented opponent. That game, in turn, looked the same as Bama's wins over various pastries. Quite a case can be made for the Tide as the nation's No. 1 team, for those who aren't convinced by the LSU Tigers.

It should've been even worse, too. A fumble returned for a touchdown just before the half was called off due to referee confusion, and it's probably for the best. Alabama compiled 226 rushing yards, 181 of it by Trent Richardson, and held Florida's offense to 222 total. Take away a game-opening, 65-yard touchdown catch by Andre Debose, and Alabama owned every line in the box score.

One emergence to keep an eye on: Florida starter John Brantley left the game with an apparent knee injury late in the second quarter. He was replaced by true freshman Jeff Driskel, who'll presumably get the starts until Brantley returns, whenever that may be. Driskel completed two of his six passes for 14 yards, but showed a set of wheels that might bring back a little more option in the Gators attack.

Hey, guess who plays LSU next week? At least Driskel got a quick heads-up on SEC football before heading to Death Valley.
