Clemson Vs. Virginia Tech Game Time, TV Schedule, Spread And More

Following big home wins over Florida State and Auburn, the Clemson Tigers have climbed high in the rankings and have many asking if they're a serious BCS contender. The answer, of course, is yes! Someone out of the ACC has to make a BCS bowl, and it's not like the conference is loaded with teams significantly better than Clemson. They beat one of their main rivals for a BCS bid last week, and now face an extremely tough road test against their other main rival.

The Virginia Tech Hokies aren't off to the strongest start in 2011, but it's hard to argue with 4-0. Still, they almost lost to East Carolina in a game where they were arguably outplayed, then didn't exactly make quick work of Arkansas State or Marshall. Their offense is questionable - especially their passing game - but David Wilson leads a solid running attack and Frank Beamer has his team playing great on defense and special teams, as always.

Tajh Boyd and Sammy Watkins look like the real deal, with both going off in the last two games, but a trip to Blacksburg is a completely different animal as compared to home games against Auburn and Florida State. Though the QB-WR combo has never played at Lane Stadium, Clemson was badly beaten 24-7 last time they made the trip.
