Wisconsin Vs. Nebraska Game Time, TV Schedule, Spread And More

Wisconsin and Nebraska contest what is arguably the biggest game of the week at Camp Randall Stadium

Clearly, the people who make the Big 10 schedule wanted to give the Nebraska Cornhuskers a warm welcome to the conference. In their first conference game, they take on the Wisconsin Badgers at Camp Randall Stadium. The Badgers knocked off No. 1 Ohio State at Camp Randall last year, have one of the best rushing attacks in the nation, and managed to luck into Russell Wilson. This is certainly an odd way to repay the school that helped make your conference eleventy billion dollars.

Wisconsin opened as eight point favorites and that line has moved, indicating that people who either have lots of money or who think they're smarter than they actually are think that Wisconsin is really good. And why not? The two-headed rushing attack of Montee Ball and James White looks fantastic, while Russell Wilson looks like a senior quarterback who's been at the same school for four years.

However, lost in this are a couple of things. First of all, Nebraska's rushing attack is also excellent. Taylor Martinez is having a great year and they actually rush for more yards per game than Wisconsin. Second of all, Wisconsin hasn't played anyone good yet. UNLV, Oregon State, Northern Illinois and South Dakota is a crazy cupcake schedule that says "We're scared of screwing up our clear path to the Rose Bowl." Of course, that clear path only exists if they get by Nebraska.

On the surface, that 10 point line looks a little crazy, despite Nebraska’s questionable defense. Though, Wisconsin’s D isn’t that great either. Could a Big Ten game at Camp Randall end up being *gasp* a shootout? Surely they don’t allow these kinds of things in the upper midwest.

Game Date/Time: 8:00 pm ET, Saturday, October 1

Location: Camp Randall Stadium, Madison, Wisconsin

TV channel: ABC

Spread: Wisconsin by 10
