Minnesota Coach Jerry Kill Returns To Sideline After Seizure

Minnesota head coach Jerry Kill will join the sideline for the Golden Gophers against the Michigan Wolverines in Ann Arbor on Saturday. Kill collapsed near the Gophers' bench against New Mexico State on Sept. 10, and had to be hospitalized after suffering multiple seizures the following week.

Kill coached last week’s game against North Dakota State from the sideline, but re-admitted himself into the hospital after suffering another seizure the Sunday morning following the loss. He was released just this past Wednesday, another quick turnaround for the coach.

His Gophers will be significant underdogs against the 19th-ranked Wolverines. Starting quarterback Marqueis Gray is questionable for the game with an ankle injury. If he can't go, the Gophers will turn to backup Max Shortell. Considering Gray's struggles this season, Shortell may be the preferred choice among many Gopher fans.
