LSU Tigers quarterback Jordan Jefferson was reinstated this week after being charged with, you know, kicking a man in the face. In his absence, Jarrett Lee emerged as a competent quarterback who pretty much never throws interceptions, which nobody saw coming.

Anybody who anticipated a quarterback controversy hasn’t been paying much attention, but it’s worth noting that Jefferson has scored a touchdown every time he’s touched the ball this year.
Inserted to run a one-yard dive on fourth down, Jefferson scored in the first quarter. Considering Lee’s not having his best game so far (6-of-17, with one touchdown of his own to make it 14-0), this showing could further stir up talk of Jefferson reclaiming his starting gig. Not saying it should. Just saying it could.
I mean, he’s averaging a touchdown per carry, guys.
Either way, LSU's quarterback situation looks brighter than does Kentucky's. Morgan Newton is 0-of-6, and if you've watched any Kentucky so far this year, you know that's not entirely his fault.
