Penn State almost lost to Temple. Indiana has started out the year 1-3, with one of those losses to North Texas and the only win coming against South Carolina State. So it’s probably not a huge surprise that the Nittany Lions and the Hoosiers are tied at three apiece at the half.

It’s not that the teams haven’t moved the ball -- Penn State went 65 yards on 11 plays on its scoring drive, part of 242 total yards on the half. And Indiana has gained 105 total yards, including 47 on its nine-play possession to set up the field goal. But the play on the offensive side has been a bit, um, uneven. The teams have combined for three turnovers and seven penalties already.
Oh, and Penn State is apparently sticking with the McGloin-Bolden experiment, which has so far yielded a passing line of 9-of-23 for 150 yards and an interception. So there’s that.
