Navy Vs. Air Force Score: Wild Final Quarter Leads To Overtime

Five seconds into the fourth quarter, Navy found itself down to Air Force, 28-10. It looked looked the Midshipmen were dead in the water, unable to mount a significant offensive charge up to that point with only one touchdown to show for their efforts. But like all matchups between the Falcons and Midshipmen, it came down to the wire, and now we’re headed to overtime.

Navy hit a field goal with 2:04 to cut the Air Force lead to eight, then recovered a wonderfully executed onside kick to give itself a chance. And with just 19 seconds left, Kriss Proctor found Gee Gee Greene in the end zone to cut the Air Force lead to two. The two-point conversion, an option that turned into a race for the pylon, was good and the Midshipmen came all the way back to force overtime.

Coverage can be found on CBS, and we wholeheartedly suggest tuning in for overtime. Triple option battles are the best.
