The Michigan State Spartans and Ohio State Spartans are in the midst of what probably won't be a barn burner judging by the game's halftime score. As of the first half, however, the away team is leading 7-0 in Columbus thanks to a solid first half from Spartans quarterback Kirk Cousins.

Cousins, a senior, has completed 13 of his 19 passing attempts in the first half. The hometown quarterback also helped the Spartans to the only touchdown of the game when he connected with B.J. Cunningham on a 33-yard touchdown pass through the air. Michigan State's defense hasn't been bad, either, however -- at least when considering the Buckeyes' unimpressive statistics in the first half.
Braxton Miller hasn't looked impressive as the freshman quarterback is 5-of-9 with an interception while failing to lead the Buckeyes to a first down on their first three possessions. The running game behind Miller hasn't been great, either, as they have rushed for just 39 yards on 20 carries in the first half.
This game, if nothing else, is living up to the standards of Big Ten football.
