Arizona may want to consider covering USC wide receiver Robert Woods at some point. With two minutes left in the third quarter, Robert Woods already has 13 catches for 254 yards and two touchdowns. By himself, he’s out-gaining every Arizona receiver combined.
Robert Woods Has All Of The Receiving Yards
Woods opened the game with a nifty 82-yard touchdown, catching a quick pass in the backfield and breaking free for the score. Later, he added a 23-yard score to give the Trojans a 34-12 lead. He’s made plays from the outside, from the slot and running across the formation, along with everywhere in between as USC head coach Lane Kiffin looks for every possible way to use Woods in the passing game.
At the rate he’s going, and with the USC defense struggling, Woods may catch all of the passes for all of the yards by the time this game is over. With under a minute to go, Arizona just scored to cut the USC lead to seven, 34-27. Still plenty of time for Woods to gain another 100 receiving yards.
