Baylor Vs. Kansas State Final Score: Robert Griffin III Not Enough In 36-35 Loss

Baylor quarterback Robert Griffin III was superb again, but this time around it wasn't enough as Kansas State pulled off the upset, 36-35. Faced with a fourth and two with just over a minute to go in the fourth quarter, Griffin's jailbreak screen attempt was batted down at the line, giving Kansas State possession back and allowing the Wildcats to sit on the ball and run out the clock.

Kansas State kicked the go-ahead field goal with 3:10 to go, capping a run of 10 unanswered points to come from behind and pull off the upset. Robert Griffin III looked suddenly human while completing 23 of 31 passes for 324 yards, five touchdowns and one interception.

It was a back-and-forth battle all day in Manhattan, with Kansas State taking a 21-19 lead into the half, only to see the Baylor offense spring to life and take a 35-26 lead entering the final frame. But a fourth quarter interception by Griffin and an offense that suddenly couldn’t find a rhythm allowed Kansas State to take advantage, pulling off the one-point upset win.

Collin Klein completed 13 of 28 passes for 146 yards, two touchdowns and an interception. Klein also led the way on the ground, carrying the ball 25 times for 113 yards and a touchdown. Chris Harper and John Hubert each caught touchdown passes for the Wildcats.

Kendall Wright was prolific in the passing game for the Bears, catching nine passes for 201 yards and three touchdowns. Griffin III and his receivers were essentially the only source of offense for Baylor, with the backs combining for just 94 yards on 29 carries, led by Terrance Ganaway's 38 rushing yards.

The final in Manhattan: Kansas State 36, No. 15 Baylor 35.
