Jeff Tuel Injury: Washington State QB Cleared For Stanford Game

Jeff Tuel has thrown just two passes for the Washington State football team this year due to an injury during the Cougars' first game of the season. Tuel's broken clavicle has apparently healed, however, as head coach Paul Wulff announced his quarterback has been cleared to play in the team's upcoming game against Stanford.

According to the release from the school, though, it’s unclear what exactly Tuel will be expected to do against the Cardinal until Saturday afternoon.

Tuel met with Cougar team physicians Wednesday morning and after the examination was cleared to play with no restrictions. Wulff noted that Tuel’s role in Saturday’s Homecoming Game against Stanford will be a gametime decision.

In Tuel's absence, senior Marshall Lobbestael has been leaned on as the team's starting quarterback. Lobbestael has completed 118 of his 182 passes for 1,570 yards and 15 touchdowns compared to just four interceptions on the season.
