As feared, South Carolina Gamecocks fans got some terrible news at Steve Spurrier's 2 pm Sunday press conference. Injured sophomore running back Marcus Lattimore is done for the year due to an injury suffered in Saturday's game against the Mississippi St. Bulldogs.

From the Post and Courier:

Based on his specific injury, ligament damage had been rumored throughout the evening after the game and the following morning. Carolina has talented backs who can take over, but it’s also had injuries elsewhere on its tailback depth chart.

Minus Lattimore and Stephen Garcia, this team looks mighty different than the one that won the SEC East last season. More to come on what to expect from the Cocks going forward.
