Clemson trailed early against North Carolina, but not for long. And now it’s looking like the two ACC teams will have a track meet in Death Valley. The Tigers and Tar Heels combined to score 41 points in the first half, with Clemson getting the upper hand and a 24-17 halftime lead.

Tajh Boyd has already thrown 32 passes, completing 17 for 202 yards and two touchdowns; DeAndre Hopkins and Sammy Watkins have eight and seven catches, respectively, for the Tigers.
Meanwhile, the Tar Heels’ Jheranie Boyd has two catches for 91 yards and two touchdowns — the only two of Bryn Renner’s three scoring passes to his own team; Kourtnei Brown took one of Renner’s two interceptions to the house for a touchdown — and North Carolina is averaging almost 10 yards per attempt.
Expect more fireworks in the second half.
